"Life lately is a series of challenges and miracles. During my second year of law school I nearly died from ulcerative colitis. My life was spared through the sacrifice of my leg. I spent the next six months in the hospital undergoing five operations.
Doctors told me I would never walk again as my leg was amputated one inch below my hip. Apparently my doctor never met David Bush…
David dedicates his own time so I can train perchance to dream. My dream is one so many people take for granted-running and improving my walk (via prosthetic leg). Five months after leaving the hospital not only am I walking, but with David’s training I participate in weight training, yoga, pilates, spinning, and the elliptical machine.
Dave has modified our work outs to fit my unique needs and even remodeled the gym so I can easily access equipment. Through a position of strength, compassion, and knowledge, David circumvents life’s obstacles leaving only a client’s abilities and dreams shining through. Anything seems possible in the walls of red, black, and silver. David has taught me that every step I take is a step closer towards a jog."

"Before beginning my training program with USI, I had a chronic pain in both shoulders. A well-known orthopedic surgeon told me that if two consecutive cortisone shots didn’t relieve my pain, I would need surgery. However, the trainers at USI put together a program specific to my needs and ultimately fixed my shoulders. When I started training at USI, I couldn’t throw a baseball with my son or my pick up my daughter. It hurt when I did something as simple as raising my arm up to wash my hair in the shower. After a few months of training at USI, the pain began to ease and my shoulders got stronger. Now, I can lift weights; pick up my daughter, and most important, throw a baseball or football with my son without any pain in my shoulders. In fact, because of my training at USI, I can throw the ball better than I ever did before I developed the shoulder pain in the first place. Thank you USI."

"In March 2009, I had a shoulder surgery for a Labial tear. After six weeks of wearing a sling and six weeks of no arm movement, I lost all strength in my arm. After four weeks of rehabilitation, I began to train with David Bush. Seven months later, I am beyond where I was with my strength than before my surgery. "My name is Andrea and I have been taking Pilates with Stacy for a little over a year. I came to her when I had constant pain in my lower back. I am a very active and fit 52-year-old woman. I complete in the sport of dressage at the national level. In dressage the use of your core muscles is key in riding properly. Without this strength and flexibility it is nearly impossible to ride properly therefore not being able to tell the horse what you are asking of him. My ability at this point to ride properly was really in question due to my pain and lack of flexibility. I started with Stacy and by the fifth session the pain was sometimes not there. This seemed incredible since it had constantly been there for so long. After my 15th session I no longer had any pain. I was able to compete with my horse again and ride properly and in harmony with my horse. This past year my horse and I were ranked 14th in the country at our level. Without the instruction of Stacy I wouldn’t have been able to compete at all. THANK YOU STACY!"

Six years ago, I really did not know what Pilates was or how one does Pilates. I was luckily introduced to Stacy Hood, a young, energetic ball of enthusiasm that taught and loves Pilates. Not everyone is able to teach, even if they have the knowledge. Stacy has the ability to demonstrate and explain all of the Pilates moves in a way this is completely understandable. If needed, she breaks the moves down to steps that make sense. Through her knowledge and persistence I have been able to move and do things I could never imagine doing. Flexibility is the true link to maintaining youth and health. I am more flexible and stronger because of Stacy. Pilates has helped my back, my posture, and my overall health. "I have been taking private Pilates lessons with Stacy Hood for five years. I have tried the average studio with 15-20 reformers when I was unable to get into her schedule. I am here to tell you that Stacy is the queen of Pilates, MY GURU! I think that Stacy has the complete understanding of the mechanics of the body and is able to break down each Pilates move to make sure that I understand 100% and that I achieve and maintain perfect Pilates form. I hear her voice all day long as Pilates has assisted me to become a better golfer, swimmer, and over all athlete. My level of flexibility has transformed 100%! "After a lifetime of regular exercise and training I found myself, over the last year, making little to no time for it. As a result I gained weight, lost muscle, and energy.
This past summer my two college aged children trained at USI. They both raved about the training and instruction they received and loved the results they were seeing. Impressed by their commitment and enthusiasm I decided to USI was just what I needed to get me back into shape.
After only four short months of training with Jeff I have regained strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. The methods and variety of training are like nothing I have experienced before. Training sessions are challenging, fast paced and no two days are alike.
